Written by – Updated on July 5, 2024

Stuhrling watches offer more than aesthetics.

Want a Swiss-made, comfortable, and affordable watch? We'd recommend looking at Stuhrling.

Their innovative assembly processes, cutting-edge electronics, and product innovations make them a powerhouse.

Stuhrling maintains Swiss watchmaker standards of precision and quality. They surpass expectations.

These timepieces have unique, and trend setting designs. Stuhrling watches are also reliable and accurate, making them a good choice for men. Stuhrling makes a fashionable, inexpensive, and trustworthy watch.

Bottom line, we love 'em. I personally own a DEPTHMASTER and it's been with me for over 4 years. I should probably add to the collection now that I'm writing this review!

Men's Professional Dive Watches

Ahhhh dive watches! Nothing quite like 'em! If you're a diver, you know a good dive watch is essential when plunging into the depths (or just desk diving in the office). Stuhrling makes some very practical and usable watches, with 200 ATM water resistance on some models.

Check out these two of their popular watches. They're tough and reliable, with subtle features you'll appreciate. Plus, they look great too! Dive in and get ready for adventure!

Stuhrling Original Aquadiver Grand Regatta Swiss (593.332D11)

This luxurious black watch from the Aquadiver Grand Regatta collection is the perfect accessory for any adventurous guy.

With an extremely hard Krysterna crystal, Swiss quartz movement, and a screw-down crown, this watch is built to last. It has a stainless steel bracelet and a ratcheting bezel.

Defo the ideal choice for folks who value subtlety and understatement as much as they do quiet assurance and refined sophistication. I need to pick one of these up actually now that I think of it.

Stuhrling Original, the watch's maker, is renowned worldwide for producing highly accurate stuff. The 593.332D11 is a true "Aquadiver" since it is water-tightness meets all requirements and marine designation used in scuba and snorkeling. Relaxing on the beach or jumping off of the diving boat, you won't be let down.

On the surface, it appears that purchasing an Aquadiver will cost you a small fortune. The price, though, is shockingly modest, making it a viable choice even for the young watch aficionado! And despite being mass-produced, the quality is great. Everything about it looks and works like a luxury timepiece would cost $1-2k!

This black-faced watch from the Aquadiver Grand Regatta collection is loaded with features that make it ideal for the active lifestyle man who values fantastic design that will win you over once you see it more than you can in pictures.

The Aquadiver is an incredible value. It has everything you might want, both in terms of functionality and aesthetics. This watch is ideal for those who need a marine timepiece but don't want to break the bank doing it. It has everything you could ever want, both in terms of features and aesthetics, so any skepticism you could have about this behemoth will quickly go.

NanaDC Badass Rating: 5/5

  • From the crystal used for the face to the two-stage crown, every little detail has been thought out and executed perfectly. It's a watch that makes me feel confident, stylish, and just a little bit badass. I know not everyone likes heavy watches but in this case that is what gives it that final "touch."

NanaDC Sauve Rating: 3/5

  • The watch face is really what caught my eye. It's big, it's bold, and it's black. With the white accents, it's so easy to read the time, even at a quick glance. It's just such a cool and unique design. Honestly, there's really nothing not to love about this watch.

Stuhrling Original DEPTHMASTER Automatic Dive Watch

The Stuhrling Depthmaster is an excellent timepiece (one that I personally own and have lugged along to Asia and Europe) -- with a long history and sleek design, what more could you want?

The Depthmaster series is rooted in history thanks to its Swiss origins in both production and distribution.

Stainless steel is used for the case, bracelet, push-button deployment clasp, and screw-down crown of this watch. Background? Created by Max Stuhrling, Chaim Fischer, and George von Burg. It is a watch that you can't really beat, especially with its amazing features!

The Depthmaster is a tough and water-resistant bad boy that has it all. Except for a helium release valve, but I've never used one anyway and most likely neither have you.

Tough-as-nails Krysterna crystal protects the dial, and a surgical grade stainless steel case and bracelet are quite good at resisting scratching and wear. The crown is obviously secured with a screw-down method and there is a deployment clasp that can be opened with the push of a button--quite comfortable to wear and very secure.

Relatively inexpensive and feature-rich, the Depthmaster Pro Diver Collection is a steal. Even though each watch has its own unique model number, year, type, diameter, thickness, width, and color (you can see more if you visit the Amazon link above), they all have the same basic design.

This model is rated to 200 meters, has an automatic movement (most likely a Swiss ETA, though it's not specifed. It only says "Swiss movement" on the description), and comes with a worldwide warranty of two years. In the event of damage, fixes and replacements can be made of course as it's a legit brand.

The Depthmaster is an excellent timepiece in every respect--at least we'd say! It's dependable, reasonably priced, and does it's job of performing well and looking great to boot.

You can't go wrong with the Depthmaster; it's a great buy in my book.

NanaDC Badass Rating: 5/5

  • When I first bought the Depthmaster, I was actually on my way to the gym and my sparring partner actually remarked to me basically saying wow man that's a nice watch, so the point is it is eye-catching. It has that sort of Rolex badass look about it, of course, which it's capitalizing on very nicely. It's a bit of a chunky old beast but at the same time, as a lot of professional divers have this particular thickness, and it's a very eye-catching watch
  • I actually had this tested at my local watchmakers and it turned out that this was only gaining plus two seconds a day. I'd like to point out that my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean is plus five seconds, so this is technically more accurate than my four-thousand-dollar watch. So, it's a fairly accurate piece, it looks good, it feels good, it's a nice comfortable watch to wear.

NanaDC Sauve Rating: 2/5

  • It's definitely eye-catching. I think it's definitely something that you know you wear on your wrist, you'll feel good about it. Women may not notice it the way men will but that's not always the point
  • And the Depthmaster also comes in a nice blue, and there are also a couple of other color sets you can buy for this. There are different flavors of the Depthmaster and you can also get it in quartz movement although quite frankly I'm more of a mechanical snob myself so I would only ever get the mechanicals

Stuhrling Original Men's Tuskegee 581 Aviator Quartz Watch

The Stuhrling Original Men's Tuskegee 581 Aviator Quartz Stainless Steel Watch. It's got a badass appearance thanks to its huge, polished case, knurled bezel, and cool band. We love the Panerai style for sure!

The strap is genuine calfskin leather with red or white stitching, a tang clasp, and a stainless steel buckle. The white numbers and sword-shaped hands on the dial stand out against a black background.

What's cool is the screw-down caseback and a Krysterna crystal are best-in class, and the quartz movement guarantees extreme accuracy and dependability for a very aweesome price.

The 45mm size makes it a substantial-feeling timepiece with a strong visual presence. The leather strap is robust and sturdy but nevertheless supple and easy to wear around.

I think this is a watch that you can wear any time of day and feel great, perhaps even with business casual dress. In addition, 50m water resist is good enough for any pool/lake/ocean activities (besides diving).

My only minor gripe with this timepiece is that it appears like an inspiration of a Bell & Ross or Panerai, but that may not be a bad thing! Some watches look so good that one is not enough, and having a few similar models in your rotation is fun. Of course this doesn't cost $5-10k either, so you an experiment without breaking the bank.

Overall, I find this Stuhrling watch to be rather nice. The quality of construction and design are both excellent. The quartz movement is precise, and the dial is incredibly clear.

It has a nice NATO strap and a supple leather band for comfort. Sure to be a compliment magnet!

Stuhrling Tourbillon Watches

The Stührling Original Men's Aureate Tourbillon Watch is a KILLER DEAL if you're a serious collector of higher-end watches. Packed with superb features, you'll have a much more unique timepiece than the typical Baume et Mercier watch that most will have.

This beauty of a timepiece features a classic leather band and a Swiss-made hand-wound movement. It's a joy to wear as it strikes the ideal balance between modern great looks and refinement of ages past.

But yeah.. What a stunning timepiece design. The silver and exposed blue and gold movement colors under the dial are beautiful, and the exposed facial texturing really stands out. It also features an exhibition case back and an oversized mechanical movement trademark that will grab people's eyes.

This watch is a fantastic alternative to many other watches in the hand-wound category.

The Aureate Collection is a testament to style and sophistication. The top dial boasts stylish spade hands, traditional Roman numerals, and an exposed facial texturing that's sure to draw the eye.

The subdial features the tourbillon, along with some exquisite background elements. Plus, the crown is secured by a screw to avoid accidental looseness.

The watch--crafted with the utmost care and attention--and tested extensively to ensure it meets the highest Sqiss standards, and the hand-crafted tourbillon movement, Roman numeral dial, and Cotes de Geneve pattern with blued steel screws make this a stunning piece. Plus, the oversized mechanical movement trademark adds a nice touch.

It's clear that the Stührling Original Men's Aureate Tourbillon Watch is a great accessory for the modern man wanting to show some pizzaz!

Not only is it packed with features and functions, but it also available online at a remarkably reasonable price.

Our final word—no question about it!

NanaDC Badass Rating: 5/5

  • Absolutely stunning. Surgical grade stainless steel cases and alligator and crocodile straps give them an insane luxury feel that rivals those of brands like Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. But those start at $50k.

NanaDC Sauve Rating: 5/5

  • Looks like a $100k watch, no question about it. Although Sterling watches may not be considered "luxury" timepieces in the watch community, their reputation for creating beautiful and affordable watches speaks for itself. Their tourbillon watches make a massive statement with this unique horological technology being on prominent display.

Stuhrling Sexy Women's Watches

The Stuhrling Original Women's Symphony 651 Quartz watch is the perfect choice for any modern woman. (hint hint, we're talking gift ideas for the special lady in your life here).

This Swiss quartz watch is made with a rose gold bezel, leather band, and a crystal window. The dial is textured and the hands are made of Krysterna. It has a buckle closure and is water resistant up to 30 meters. The steel case is 36mm in diameter and 8mm thickness and comes in a variety of colors.

This watch is jam-packed with features. It has a quartz movement for accurate time keeping and a Swarovski crystal border for a bit of sparkle. It also has a stainless steel caseback and a special feature which allows the second hand to tick. The band is croco-embossed for a touch of class and style.

The Stuhrling Original Women's Symphony 651 Quartz watch is definitely a keeper. It is accurate, durable, and looks great. The watch has a professional feel and its sheer quality will make it last for years to come. It is relatively easy to read, even in wet or shower conditions. Plus, it is water resistant up to 30 meters, so you don't have to worry about it getting damaged when swimming.

The Stuhrling Original Women's Symphony 651 Quartz watch is a great buy and is perfect for any occasion. Its lovely details and certain grace make it a great gift for friends and family. Plus, it comes with a protective box, paperwork, and a warranty.

Overall, the Stuhrling Original Women's Symphony 651 Quartz watch is a pretty sweet deal. It's got a solid build, accurate time-keeping, and some nice features. And at such a great price, it's hard to beat. Plus, it looks pretty fly on the wrist. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable watch.

Overview of the Brand

This Swiss-made brand was named after Max Stuhrling by New Yorker Henry Fischer in 1999.
Max Stuhrling IV, Stuhrling's great-grandson, collaborated with George J. von Burg three years later to make the brand more accessible.

This brand has the perfect mix of old-world craftsmanship and current electronics.
They also have rapid shipping and excellent customer service like any top watchmaker.

How Good Are Stuhrling Watches?

Stuhrling Watches are a great option if you're after something that looks (and performs) good, but won't break the bank. With a range of styles for both casual and formal occasions, we're pretty confident you'll be able to find one here that suits your style.

They're all designed for a comfortable fit (unlike some Japanese brands which shall go unmentioned), with a surgical-grade stainless steel case, and adjustable straps ranging from rubber, to leather, to alligator and crocodile. After something extra special? You can get a limited edition ceramic case on some models.

Bottom line: Is Stuhrling a good watch? Yes. I have worn mine for thousands of hours and it's always been a pleasure. They're stylish and again, won't set you back a ton of cash, so they're definitely worth checking out.

Check out our reviews of the most popular Stuhrling watches for men! Slick-looking, precise and stylish – these watches won’t let you down in front of your friends or your girlfriend. With these models below, colors and styles, so you can find the perfect fit for any occasion. Take your pick and be ready to turn some heads!

Where to Buy?

Of course you can buy Stuhrling watches directly from the official Stuhrling website, which offers a wide selection of their latest collections.

We'd recommend online retailers, such as Amazon as this can be convenient option if you're looking for a specific model or if you want to compare prices across different retailers. Also prices are usually the best.

Brick and mortar stores: Some brick and mortar stores, such as jewelry stores and department stores, carry Stuhrling watches. This can be a good option if you want to see the watch in person before making a purchase.

Second-hand marketplaces: Stuhrling watches can also be found on second-hand marketplaces, such as eBay and Chrono24. However, it's important to be cautious when buying a used watch, as it can be difficult to determine the authenticity and condition of the watch.

How Much Are These Watches Worth?

Pricing varies greatly. (Depends on model, condition, features.)

Entry-level models: affordably priced. (Under $100)

Mid-range models: moderate cost. (Around $200)

Luxury models: significantly more expensive. (Over $1000)

Factors affecting value: materials, movement, craftsmanship, design. (Limited edition, vintage, rarity also play role.)

Where Are They Made?

Stuhrling watches feature Swiss watchmaking practices and most all of the models are built with Swiss or Japanese quartz movements. But FYI, unfortunately not all of the watches are actually assembled and manufactured in Switzerland. Some of the lower-priced models are made in Hong Kong.

So..Yeah it's not the same as getting one from a Swiss watchmaker, but that will set you back a minimum of $2-5k, and with prices for many of these watches ranging from around $50 to a few hundred dollars, Stuhrling watches are definitely worth your attention (I myself actually own a Stuhrling watch and then later graduated to various Swiss watches as my income went up!)

Why Are These Models So Cheap?

We agree--Stuhrling watches are the ultimate combination of budget-friendly prices and luxury design. For a fraction of the cost of Swiss-made watches, you'll get a watch with Swiss movement and all the quality bells and whistless. Plus, thanks to their production facilities in Hong Kong, they're able to keep costs down much cheaper than in the EU or in Switzerland

That being said, some of their Chinese Tourbillon watches don't quite reach the same level of quality as their Swiss-movement counterparts. But if you're looking for a watch that's both affordable and stylish, Stuhrling is the way to go!

Do Most Stuhrling Watches Have Batteries?

Stuhrling watches come in a range of styles, from automatic/mechanical to quartz (battery-powered). Automatic watches are the "real" deal, winding themselves up as you wear them. No need for a battery or computer chip. But, they don't come without a few drawbacks. They can be unreliable and fail more often since they're a lot more complicated.

Wrap Up

Stuhrling is a good, solid and well-liked watch brand. It's incredibly affordable to get started with this marquee, with a diverse range of options to fit any style. Plus, the quality of their products is pretty decent.

However, if you're looking for the ultimate high-end watch, the Sturling collection might not cut it. But for everyday wear, you can't go wrong with a Stuhrling watch. It's definitely a bang for the buck.

That said, it's not perfect. The straps can be a bit stiff and there have been some complaints about the accuracy of the timekeeping. But overall, it's a solid brand and well worth checking out.
